This half-day workshop examines how early exposure to neurotoxins such as lead, mercury, pesticides, nicotine, and prenatal alcohol exposure can lead to life-long learning, behavioral and development problems. The training covers:
• facts about environmental chemicals
• effects on behavior and development, including neurological and sensory issues
• strategies and interventions for supporting the young child
• resources for additional information and support
• ways to share prevention information with families
Includes package of 10 brochures to share with parents.
Offers 3 professional development hours.
